About me
I’m Devapriyo Das, a twenty-nine year old Indian freelance journalist based in Aarhus, Denmark. I primarily report for Xinhua, the Chinese news agency, and mostly cover Denmark and Scandinavia stories.
Much of my work focuses on reporting business, national politics, energy and environment. I have a particular interest in renewable energies, sustainable economic management, overseas development and European and African regional politics.
I undertake reporting assignments for newspapers and agencies, as well as corporate and private-sector writing jobs.

I spent the last two years in Uganda, first in the north and later in the capital, Kampala, covering human development, poverty, trade, politics and environment for the national Observer newspaper. Previously, I worked as Public Affairs Officer for the Royal Commonwealth Society, London.
This blog contains an archive of my writing for Xinhua. It also carries many articles I wrote as a Correspondent for The Observer. The blog captures images and ideas that make news in East Africa, and reports on national events and my own personal experiences, in Denmark.
